2002 Events

 Doug,
Crystal and Ashley traveled to Billings for Christmas this year
and we had a lot of fun with the family and friends. Ashley is
at a great age to realize all that is going around her and she
loved the whole Christmas thing. Janet was also in town from NY
and we all had a lot of fun during this time.

26-28, 2002 Family Reunion in Billings,

 The
2002 reunion was a great time for everyone who showed up, which
was a little smaller group than normal. The weather was great
and the reunion was held at Helen and Oliver's house in Billings.
There were people who traveled from all over to be there and we
all had fun for the 3 days we were in Billings.

When Ashley was just 14 months old she went on her first airplane
ride to visit her Great Grandparents, Merle and Sue. Also along for
the trip was my Dad and Sister Trish. While there we spent time with
her great Aunt and Uncle, Glenda and Mike Scott. We saw my cousin
Derrick and had a ton of fun with him. Dothan is a small town where
the people are all very nice. The best thing is that all the restaurants
have presweetened ice tea. Boy is that good. And traffic, what traffic...
We took Ashley to the ocean for the first time in her life, at Florida's
white sand beach, Panama City. It is only 2 1/2 hours away from Dothan.
Ashley was not to sure of the beach, and the sun was very hot that day,
so both her and I were sunburned in the face.
My Uncle Mike works on pinball machines and had a room in his house
full of them. So we had to go over and play because they are free!!!
Ashley had more fun playing with there baby rabbit. Most of the time
we ate and visited with family. They sure did love see there great
granddaughter for the first time, and she was very spoiled. All in
all we had a wonderful time and wish to get back there sometime soon,
but it will probably be a while because it's a small town the airline
prices are high. We can not get grandma and grandpa to come back up
here to Denver and the snow. Wonder why????
