Submitting Information to
Duncanet.com
Text
Any
text information you would like to submit to the website would be preferable
in e-mail or an attachment in Microsoft Word format (*.doc, *.txt, *.rtf).
That way I can cut-and-paste it in to the appropriate page. If you have
a hard copy of information and do not have a way to get it into digital
format, I can scan it in and run it through an optical character recognition
program like OmniPage Pro. This will recognize the text as characters
and convert it into digital format. The text must be very clear and
preferably typewritten. Please let me know where you want the information
to appear (family page, news page, happenings page) somewhere before
of after the text itself. If you do send me a hardcopy of information
and want it back, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope so
I can return it to you. Please see the section at the bottom for my
contact information. Please include something about Duncanet in the
subject line so I don't toss it thinking it is junk mail. Thank You!
Photos
Photos
are also preferably to be sent in digital format (.jpg, .gif, .bmp,
.tga) and attached to an e-mail. I will touch them up and/or resize
them as necessary. If you have photo editing software, please crop them
as you like and try to keep the filesize under 200K. If you have photos
that are not in digital format, I would be glad to scan them in and
return the photograph to you. Please let me know where you want the
photo to appear (personal page, news page, happenings page), along with
a text description of the photo (very important). As with text, please
include a self-addressed stamped envelope so I can send them back to
you. See contact information below to send me your photos.
Graphics/Misc.
If
you would like special graphics, wallpaper, or whatnot on your personal
page or one of the other pages, please e-mail it to me as an attachment,
along with a description and where you would like it on the website.

Forums
The forums are also a great place to post information
that you would like to see on Duncanet. It is easy for you to submit
the information in a post, and it makes it very easy for me to cut-and-paste
it onto the website. Feel free to post anything you want here, and make
a note if you would like to see it on the main website. I have created
a category in the forums for just this purpose.
